The surrealist work of the Halmstad Group is exhibited at Millesgården this autumn. Also, this year one of Swedens most important lyrical modernists Erik Lindegren would have turned 100. Lindegren was working closely with the Swedish surrealists and he published 38 poems about their paintings in a book on the Halmstad Group that came out in 1947.
Sophie Allgårdh, editor of Paletten, will discuss the connections between visual and literary art with literature scholar Daniel Pedersen and publisher Ingmar Simonsson, on account of the newly released volume of Erik Lindegrens collected poems. This event is held in Swedish.
A bar serving light food will be open from 18:30.
Address: Konstnärsklubben, 2nd floor, Smålandsgatan 7, Stockholm. Ring door bell marked Konstnärsklubben.
The evening is arranged by the Swedish Art Critics Association in collaboration with the Tuesday Club the meeting place for artists at Konstnärshuset (the Artists House) on the first Tuesday of every month.
